STEPS - System & Technologies for Space Exploration
Teoresi Group is participating to the STEPS project, a significative R & D initiative undertaken by Regione Piemonte in relation with the development strategy of the Piedmontese Aerospatial District. The project, driven by Thales Alenia Space, aims to develop technologies and strategic expertise for human and robotic space exploration.
Teoresi Group has been commissioned to develop a graphic demonstrator in charge of collecting data coming from various spatial simulation units (Rover Simulator, martial/lunar Environment Simulator, biomedical values Simulator of the austronaut. All data will be gathered in a single graphic interface (HMI) that will allow both viewing and interaction by the astronaut.
This interface will be part of a 3D immersive environment, specifically tailored for the astronaut learning.
Thanks to the project results, in terms of expertise and infrastructure, the Piedmontese Aerospatial District will be recognized as prototyping competence area for the spatial exploration.
