{"id":83387,"date":"2026-07-15T17:32:44","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T15:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.teoresigroup.com\/evolutive2026\/?p=83387"},"modified":"2026-07-15T17:32:49","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T15:32:49","slug":"teoresi-hosts-the-partners-of-the-european-envelope-project-in-turin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teoresigroup.com\/de\/news\/teoresi-hosts-the-partners-of-the-european-envelope-project-in-turin\/","title":{"rendered":"Teoresi\u00a0hosts\u00a0the partners of the\u00a0European\u00a0ENVELOPE project in Turin\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns row align-center row sezione\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column column small-12 medium-10 large-8\">\n<p><strong>On 26 and 27 May 2026<\/strong>, we hosted the <strong>seventh ENVELOPE plenary meeting in Turin,<\/strong> a working session that brought together the partners of the European project to align activities, results and next steps ahead of the final phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teoresigroup.com\/de\/news\/the-future-of-connectivity-in-turin-teoresi-among-the-european-partners-of-the-envelope-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ENVELOPE<\/a><\/strong> is the European project dedicated to the <strong>development and testing of 5G and 6G platforms and services for connected and autonomous mobility. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teoresigroup.com\/de\/press\/towards-a-connected-city-with-autonomous-cars-teoresi-tests-the-use-of-5g-technology-for-the-mobile-future-in-turin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teoresi is involved as a technical partner,<\/a><\/strong> contributing its expertise in smart mobility and providing <strong>two prototypes of autonomous and connected cars.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A moment of exchange ahead of the project\u2019s final phase<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When a European project enters its final phase, research and development activities need to converge towards <strong>field testing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the two-day meeting in Turin, the ENVELOPE partners reviewed ongoing activities and next steps. The discussion focused on the <strong>preparation of the trial sites<\/strong>, the <strong>status of the technology platforms,<\/strong> the <strong>criteria for measuring the effectiveness of the tests <\/strong>and the <strong>external contributions gathered through the open calls<\/strong>, namely calls open to new partners to use ENVELOPE assets in new use cases or scenarios. The exchange also addressed future actions to communicate and enhance the value of the project results, including the final demonstration events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Turin will host the Italian trial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The city is the <strong>Italian trial site of the project<\/strong>, designed to test connected and autonomous mobility services in an urban context. Vehicles, data, networks and urban infrastructure will work together to validate two new application scenarios: on the one hand, using <strong>the potential of 5G <\/strong>to reconstruct the dynamics of an accident by <strong>sending data collected by the sensors of autonomous cars;<\/strong> on the other, sharing real-time updates on the maps used by autonomous vehicles. The data collected by the vehicles may, for example, contribute to <strong>mapping the surrounding environment, identifying obstacles or route changes and reconstructing the dynamics of a possible accident<\/strong> in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our contribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our contribution builds on the work carried out in recent years in the field of autonomous and connected mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within ENVELOPE, we are providing <strong>two prototypes of autonomous and connected city cars<\/strong>, equipped with <strong>HD cameras, LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, radar and GPS.<\/strong> These technologies collect real-time data, which is then integrated through sensor fusion techniques to digitally reconstruct the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two-day meeting was therefore also an opportunity to connect the technical work of the partners with the testing path that will bring the project from applied research to testing in an urban context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cENVELOPE represents an important step for Teoresi in its research path on autonomous and connected mobility.
