10 years on track: Teoresi returns to Formula SAE Italy 2025 

From September 10–14, we’re back in Varano de’ Melegari for a new edition of Formula SAE Italy, the international competition that challenges engineering students from all over the world. In an atmosphere reminiscent of Formula 1, teams bring to the track combustion, electric, and driverless prototypes — the result of months of design, testing, and collaboration. 

For us, this won’t be just another edition: as the event celebrates its 20th anniversary, we’re reaching our own milestone — 10 consecutive years as an official sponsor. A decade spent alongside young talents, sharing creativity, challenges, and “high-speed learning.” 

The Teoresi Award – Electronics Development Process 

Once again this year, we will present the Teoresi Award “Electronics Development Process: Innovative Controls, Methods and Architectures,” dedicated to the most innovative project in the development of control systems, methods, and electronic architectures. 

Evaluating the teams will be our colleagues Massimiliano Curti, Senior Technology Excellence Leader, and Gerardo Amato, Innovation Leader. The winning team will receive the prestigious Teoresi Trophy and two professional tools from Intrepid Control Systems: a Vehicle Spy 3 Basic and a ValueCAN4-2. These are designed to interact with the vehicle network and perform bus monitoring, data acquisition, diagnostics, calibration, and simulation. A tangible recognition, enabling the team to further enhance its skills and project work even beyond the competition. 

Adrenaline Race Contest: from our offices to the track 

To celebrate this anniversary, we also launched an internal challenge: the Adrenaline Race Contest, a timed technical quiz that tested the curiosity, skills, and passion for engineering of colleagues from Operations Italy across the Group. 

Thanks to this “race within the race,” Alex De Franco, Gabriele Alberti e Michele Sparano, will join colleagues from Innovation, Technology, HR, and Communication throughout this unique experience, diving with them into the heart of the competition.
