Teoresi in Washington, D.C. to advance U.S.–Italy trusted tech partnerships
CorporateOn October 15 and 16, 2026, Beatrice Borgia, Chief Marketing, Innovation & Technology Officer, and Alexandre De Almeida, Vice President Business Operations North America, represented Teoresi Group in Washington, D.C. for “Boosting Transatlantic Investments into Trusted Tech Partnerships.”
Organized by the Transatlantic Harmonic Foundation (THF) and the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy, the two-day initiative brought together senior U.S. and Italian leaders from government, industry, research, and finance, alongside the diplomatic and business communities of both countries.
The focus was on three strategic domains: Life Sciences, AI Stack Tech, and Energy, with the goal of identifying projects, technologies, and partnerships with the potential to grow through matchmaking, joint research, industrial development, and investment.
MOST – National Center for Sustainable Mobility was involved as a liaison for the Italian mobility ecosystem, helping connect interested partners with the initiative and its broader network.
The program began with a closed-door working session at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy, where participants explored potential partnerships, identified the resources needed to advance them, and contributed to shaping the U.S.–Italy Trusted Tech Accelerator. Discussions also focused on a 12-month roadmap for collaboration, including targeted matchmaking, a 2027 U.S. roadshow, and opportunities for continued engagement between the two countries.
On October 16, the Institutionial Session, „Building the Architecture to Scale,“ continued at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C., turning to the financial and institutional framework needed to scale these collaborations. Discussions explored how U.S. and Italian public and private capital can support promising partnerships and contribute to the development of the accelerator and its associated Investment Facility.
After the event, we caught up with Beatrice and Alexandre to gain further insight:
Beatrice, what did you hear during the event that excited you most about the future of innovation between the two countries and what surprised you most about the perspectives shared by U.S. and Italian leaders during these two days?
What excited me most was the shift from dialogue to execution. The October 15 working session at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy was explicitly designed around what participants can bring, what they need, and how to build a U.S.–Italy Trusted Tech Accelerator with a 12-month roadmap.
The following day at the Embassy of Italy, the conversation broadened to research, industry and government partnerships. What surprised me was the convergence of perspectives: alongside market access and capital, leaders on both sides treated trust as a practical condition for innovation.
Technology is not value-neutral; it embeds choices and values. The opportunity is to translate that shared awareness into projects that can scale.
Alexandre, from the North American perspective, what opportunities for stronger collaboration between U.S. and Italian companies stood out to you?
Among the many sectors discussed, AI and digital transformation stood out as potential areas for stronger collaboration between U.S. and Italian companies, particularly given the complex regulatory landscape surrounding these technologies.
How can Teoresi’s presence in both Italy and the United States help turn conversations like these into concrete opportunities for collaboration?
There was a mix of U.S.-based companies and Italian based companies. They were all looking at ways to increase or establish their presence in the United States.
Teoresi U.S. is well positioned to facilitate either of these efforts. In some cases, developing stronger relationships in Italy would help position us as the right partner to support these initiatives.

If you had to sum up your biggest takeaway from these two days in Washington, what would it be?
My biggest takeaway is that technology embeds values, and those values become meaningful through execution. The ambition to move from dialogue to a 12-month partnership roadmap is exactly the kind of bridge we need between trust, innovation and business impact.
We can certainly continue developing our portfolio and business on a classic B2B approach but belonging to and participating in these government-led events can certainly give us access to contacts and leverage which can accelerate our growth and enable our future.
