Art and Innovation at Teoresi: murals and AI to promote diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
CorporateSustainabilityThe fusion of creativity and technology is at the heart of Teoresi’s operational approach, reflected daily within our offices and labs. The design of our environments is aimed at promoting well-being and inspiring all colleagues. An example? ‘Teamwork,’ an anamorphic work created by the Truly Design collective, has been on display in the corridor of the first floor of our Turin headquarters since the end of last year. Along with other engaging initiatives, it aims to enhance lateral thinking and raise awareness among employees on crucial topics such as diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
AI ART: a communication tool, beyond technology
Artificial Intelligence plays a fundamental role at Teoresi. Besides being a valuable technology for our research and development projects, we consider it a powerful communication tool; therefore, fully understanding its potential is crucial. Building on this principle, our journey into AI ART began in 2022, aiming to raise awareness among work teams about its capabilities, biases, and risks, while developing and sharing an innovative and ethical approach.
Our journey
During the 2022 holidays, we launched a communication campaign featuring images generated on Midjourney; in 2023 and the early months of 2024, we engaged all Group colleagues in the Teoresi Dream Workplace contest, in collaboration with the AI/CC (Artificial Intelligence Creative Community) collective of creatives.
Participants were asked to create, using generative AI text-to-image tools, representations of their ideal workplace in terms of diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and corporate well-being. At the end of the competition, the authors of the six winning creations were invited to participate in a creative workshop dedicated to enhancing the use of generative AI, conducted by members of AI/CC.
Engineering through creativity: a day with AI/CC
The workshop, held in the spring of 2024 by Guido Callegari, founder of AI/CC, and Katya Vettorello, Senior Graphic Designer, at our Turin headquarters, immersed participants in the world of Midjourney, providing a deep dive into the creative possibilities of generative AI as a tool for expressing creativity. Through these initiatives, Teoresi supports creativity within the company, while maintaining a high ethical reflection on the potential and implications of the technologies used in daily operations and their impact on the future of work and society.
