Teoresi MedTech conducts industrial research programs both for clients and on internal projects. The programs aim to acquire new knowledge and skills to be applied to product development. Recognizing the importance of collaboration with universities, Teoresi MedTech actively involves Italian and foreign institutions in its research programs.
Ongoing Research Programs
Demographic evolution requires a reorganization of healthcare services to manage the growing number of elderly individuals and the increased prevalence of chronic diseases. Telemedicine is considered an essential tool to promote a paradigm shift congruent with demographic changes, but various limitations remain for its full adoption, related to issues in design, integration with the healthcare service, and usability by end-users. REMEDY is a new customizable service integrable into the Hub and Spoke healthcare organizational model for remote and multiparametric monitoring of complex and multicomorbid patients. REMEDY will be co-designed with clinical operators, patients, and companies to gather their needs and desires and create a service that can integrate into clinical practice. Specific objectives include designing innovative tools for monitoring, engaging, and empowering patients, developing an innovative wearable and multisensor device, and an Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) platform for the collection and processing of clinical data. REMEDY tools will be engineered, accompanied by technical documentation, and validated in conditions of use similar to the clinical context.
Future of Agricultural Tractors – FACT
FACT envisages the development of a virtual and experimental laboratory dedicated to agricultural vehicles of different types and sizes, for the study of efficient, sustainable, and safe solutions. The goal is to create synergical tools to identify innovative solutions to reduce energy dissipation, improve operator comfort, and accelerate the agricultural machine’s “transition” towards sustainability. The proposed activity involves modeling selected vehicles (tractors, lawnmowers). After experimental validation, the Digital Twin will allow the evaluation of multiple different designs: a difficult, costly, and highly polluting operation if carried out through physical prototyping. In the context of emissions reduction, options for electrification of components will be evaluated, including for equipment. An experimental laboratory will be equipped, a physical platform to validate the effectiveness of proposals identified through virtual analysis. The laboratory will be gradually expanded starting from an existing “embryo,” to build independent equipment available to research centers for experimentally analyzing issues related to the efficiency of agricultural machinery.
