From June 5 to 7, we took part for the first time in the AI Learning Acceleration Event, an international initiative promoted by DITECFER, the District for Railway Technologies, High Speed, and Safety. The event brought together public, private, and institutional stakeholders to explore the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in the railway and industrial sectors.
Representing Teoresi, Fabio Gadda, Strategic Marketing Manager of the Group, attended the event as an institutional partner, contributing to the discussion on a topic that is becoming increasingly strategic for the development of intelligent, integrated, and sustainable railway mobility.
“It was inspiring to see the growing interest in AI within the railway world,” said Gadda. “Although many initiatives are still in their early stages, there is a clear desire to develop new technological processes. Safety remains a crucial challenge: on one hand, it limits the adoption of AI; on the other, it drives its evolution toward increasingly reliable and concrete standards.”
Riding the rails of innovation: a continuously evolving ecosystem
The digital transformation of the railway industry is one of the most fascinating challenges that AI can take on today. Thanks to predictive models, there is an opportunity to experiment with regulatory frameworks that start from actual market needs and not just from innovation.
For Teoresi, this participation represented a concrete opportunity to contribute to the growth of a smarter European railway ecosystem, where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.
“Sharing experiences and visions in a European context like DITECFER is essential to developing technologies that have a direct impact on efficiency, safety, and service quality,” Gadda added.
Our commitment to rail
In the railway sector, Teoresi applies Artificial Intelligence to projects focused on process optimization, smart diagnostics, system integration, and decision-making support in complex scenarios. Together with our partners, we are working to enable a new model of railway mobility: more flexible, digital, and connected.
