What happens when a single photograph tells an entire story?
MAUTO – Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile di Torino – has just published The Future Unfolds. Sulle strade del futuro (“On the Roads of the Future”), the first volume of the series The Future Unfolds: a journey where technology, art, and sustainability converge to explore—and help us imagine—the future of mobility.
The project reframes the car not as an isolated object, but as a dynamic node in a digital, shared, and ever-evolving ecosystem.
The book was officially launched on Wednesday, June 25 at 5 PM at the Museum, with contributions by Lorenza Bravetta (Director of MAUTO), Maurizio Arnone (Project Curator), Alessandro Dandini De Sylva (Photography Curator), and Marina Caneve (Photographer).
And Teoresi? It’s in there, across ten shots.
Last March, Marina Caneve visited our offices and labs to capture, through her lens, the everyday work, ingenuity, and—above all—the curiosity of those who imagine the car as something very different from what it once was.
The result? Ten photographs that not only show how we work, but also convey what it feels like to imagine the future. A poetic-technological exercise that shifts the focus from the vehicle itself to the system in which it moves. A cultural and aesthetic leap, as well as a technical one.
This volume is part of the broader MAUTO Future Mobility program—a true “museum within the museum,” which since April 8 has hosted Spazio Futuro, an interactive journey through technologies, prototypes, installations, and future scenarios.
A heartfelt thank you to those who made this experience possible: the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile, Marina Caneve, Alessandro Dandini De Sylva, and our colleagues Valeria, Santi, Angela, Tiziano, and Huseyin, who skillfully balanced the tempo of engineering with the unpredictability of art.
In short?
Teoresi is part of a project that offers a new way of telling what it means to design the mobility of tomorrow—through images, emotions, energy, and people.
With photography, we aimed to capture the atmosphere behind every idea, giving a face and rhythm to the innovation we live every day.
